The ISSA Christian Songwriting Contest is an international competition
supporting the disciplines of songwriting, musicianship and performance in the
Christian independent music community. The main objective is to give independent
singer-songwriters the opportunities to have their music heard and help them to
establish a larger fan base.

Nine winners are selected in the contest:
ISSA Christian Singer-Songwriter of the Year: Selected by the judging panel
from all nominees. Receives $1,000 in cash.
8 Category Winners: Selected by fan vote from the nominees in each category.

Songs are accepted in 8 different categories: Pop, R&B, Country/Folk, Rock,
Hip-Hop, Gospel, Contemporary Christian and A Capella.
