It's rare that a songwriter would receive industry recognition when putting his music 'out there' for the first time. But for Joe Doiron (pronounced 'Door-on'), a Nova Scotia-based lyricist and songwriter, an award-winning song has put him on the right musical road early on in his journey.

Joe was awarded the Grand Prize in the first song and lyric competition he entered. His contemporary country love ballad, Picture This, won the Grand Prize in the 2005 Nashville International Song and Lyric Competition.
