Katie Costello is an 18 year old Hermosa Beach, CA native whose senior year of high school was cut short soon after her then-unreleased full length original cd, "Kaleidoscope Machine" was leaked to LA's KCRW & featured as 'Top Tune of the Day' on the tastemaking radio program, "Morning Becomes Eclectic."

Licensing opportunities quickly followed (One Tree Hill, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, 90210) as did offers to showcase at many festivals such as SXSW, CMJ Music Marathon, and the Folk Alliance.

An avid student and self-proclaimed bookish-nerd-waif, Katie made the difficult decision to leave high school & finish her education online (please listen to her track, "Virtual Diploma" to get a glimpse of her scholarly angst) in order to pursue her blossoming music career.

"Kaleidoscope Machine" was written by Katie and produced by Rob Hoffman and Heather Holley (Christina Aguilera).

Katie is currently in the studio recording a new full length cd with Tony Berg (Jesca Hoop, X).
