The ISSA Song Contest is an international competition supporting the disciplines of
songwriting, musicianship and performance in the independent music community.
The main objective is to give independent singer-songwriters the opportunities to
have their music heard and help them to establish a larger fan base.

Nine winners are selected in the contest:
ISSA Singer-Songwriter of the Year: Selected by the judging panel
from all nominees. Receives $2,000 in cash.
8 Category Winners: Selected by fan vote from the nominees in each category.

Songs are accepted in 8 different categories: Pop, Country, Folk, Rock, Jazz,
Hip-Hop/R&B, Adult Contemporary and A Capella.
